Waste can be a cost – or a resource. When construction waste, stone and recycled material are crushed, sorted and processed the right way, they become the latter. That work happens on-site, often in tough conditions, and it requires machines that can be relied on day after day.
That’s where Maskin Mekano comes in.
We design and build mobile machines used to process, separate and clean materials such as soil, stone, and recycled waste. Our machines are built to perform where others struggle: with wet material, fine fractions, and demanding environments where downtime is not an option.
Maskin Mekano is a family business based in Sweden, with 70 years of experience in developing and producing high-performing machines. Today, we are around 25 people working closely together across development, production, sales and aftersales.

THIS IS THE MISSION
At Maskin Mekano we are entering a new phase of international growth and Spain is one of the next priority markets. Today, we have no established setup in Spain – and this role is here to change that. As business developer for Spain, your mission is to:
Define how Maskin Mekano should approach the Spanish market
Spain is a blank slate for us. Your job starts with building an understanding of how the market works by meeting with distributors, customers, rental companies and other key players. Based on what you see and hear, you create the plan: What parts of Spain matter most? Which business areas have the strongest potential? What kind of distributor setup makes sense here? How should we position Maskin Mekano locally?Design the right distributor setup
Using your market insight, you define how the distributor structure should look in practice. This includes deciding what type of partners are relevant, how coverage should be built across regions and business areas, and what “good” representation means for Maskin Mekano in Spain.Identify, onboard, and develop distributors
You are responsible for selecting the right distributors, building relationships with them, and onboarding them properly. That means making sure they understand the products and how to represent Maskin Mekano, and giving them a solid starting point to succeed. The focus is on quality and long-term potential, not on signing many partners quickly.Make the setup work in practice
Once partnerships are in place, you follow up and make sure they have what they need to sell the machines and support customers locally. That gives you insight into what works and what doesn’t.Connect the market with the organization
You act as the link between Spain and the rest of Maskin Mekano. What you learn in the market is fed back into the organization, helping improve products, support, and ways of working.
In short, the role turns Spain from an undefined opportunity into a structured, working market that Maskin Mekano can build on over time. You are based in Spain and report to CEO in Jönköping, Sweden.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building something from the ground up and who is comfortable being out in the market, close to customers and partners. To succeed and thrive at Maskin Mekano, we believe that you are:
Commercial and relationship-driven
With experience from roles in either business development, sales or partner management, you know what it takes to build and manage long-term business relationships. This could be with distributors, customers, suppliers or partners – the common denominator is that you know how to create trust while keeping the business perspective clear.Structured and solution-oriented
You are comfortable handling situations where technology, cost, and agreements overlap. You know how to sort through complexity, focus on what matters, and take decisions that move things forward.Used to technical or industrial environments
It’s an advantage if you have worked with machines or technically oriented products, or in industrial settings where products are complex and credibility matters. You don’t need to be a technical specialist, but you understand how technical value is explained, demonstrated, and sold. You are equally comfortable talking to a strategic buyer as an operator working hands on with the machines.Independent and driven
As a self-starter, you don’t wait for instructions. Instead, you move things forward on your own and test, learn, and adjust until you get it right. You are motivated by progress and by seeing your effort turning into results.Clear, grounded, and practical
You come across as a straightforward and down-to-earth person. You build trust by being present, clear, and reliable.Comfortable leading through collaboration

This is a builder role in the truest sense. Spain is not about accelerating something that already exists – it’s about bringing a great product to a whole new market. Success here won’t come from pushing volume, but from being strategic and relation-focused: who to partner with and how to build a distributor setup that works long-term.
